Pro moji generaci je rychlá urbanizace Prahy v sedmdesátých letech jen poznámkou v historických knihách. Jižní město, které je často považováno za největší sídliště v České republice, představuje všechno, co je na místech vzniklých v té době zvláštního - svébytnou atmosféru, všudypřítomné napětí mezi umělou podstatou přísného urbanistického plánování a přirozenou potřebou člověka přetvářet svět kolem sebe. A konec konců, není to právě tenhle nevědomý boj o sebevyjádření v daných hranicích podstatou toho, jak si sami vytváříme "moje místo"?
For my generation, the rapid urbanization of Prague in the 70s remains just a note in historical books. South City, often said to be the largest suburban block-of-flats estate in Czech Republic, represents everything that is special about those places. The peculiar atmosphere surrounding them, the ever-present tension between artificial nature of strict urban planning and natural inclination of people to personalize the world around them. In the end, isn't this unconscious struggle for our own expression in the given boundaries, the nature of our own recreation of "my place"?
